T.P.M.I. offers four “intensive seminars." These seminars are “completely unique" to the profession and are for doctors only. All seven communications topics in the T.P.M.I. program are addressed in this series of intensive seminars. Each seminar has a very limited number of doctors attending because each doctor performs multiple live role-plays of the subject matter covered. T.P.M.I. clients are well prepared to attend and perform in any of the intensive seminars. Non-T.P.M.I. clients will receive two preparation phone calls prior to each intensive seminar they attend. The purpose of the phone calls is to prepare the doctor to be able to experience maximum benefit from attending an intensive seminar. There is absolutely nothing like working through role-play in communications and being critically and fairly critiqued in the process. Doctors leave an intensive seminar incredibly prepared to immediately perform at a level far above any past level in their careers. The seating is limited, the seminar is “intense” and the reward allows doctors and patients alike to experience a huge win in chiropractic health care.
INTENSIVE SEMINAR #1
PRE-CONSULTATION, FADE & MINIMIZATION
In this doctors-only, live, role-play seminar, the pre-consultation topic is the primary focus. Dissected into its four vital points:
1. The history review.
2. The appeal paragraph.
3. The opening of the four categories.
4. The dance of the questions.
The money and time fades, as well as the minimization topics and appropriate doctor responses are also role-played.
INTENSIVE SEMINAR #2
5-MINUTE REPORT OF FINDINGS & 5-MINUTE RE-REPORT OF FINDINGS
In this doctors-only, live, role-play seminar, the report of findings and the re-report of findings topics are both explained and discussed in detail. Doctors will need to choose the report of findings that matches the model in practice they use. Then, the live role-play takes place with the report of findings topic garnering the primary focus.
INTENSIVE SEMINAR #3
ADJUSTING DIALOGUE AND REFERRAL
In this doctors-only, live, role-play seminar, the adjusting dialogue, referral dialogue, and pandemic dialogue are all explained and discussed. The adjusting dialogue outline covers:
1. The question of the primary pain/complaint being better, same, or worse.
2. Critically listening to the patient's response.
3. Choosing an appropriate topic to engage the patient in.
4. Giving the patient a home instruction.
5. Predictably closing the adjusting dialogue visit.
Once a thorough understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the adjusting dialogue is understood, the live doctor role-play begins.
INTENSIVE SEMINAR #4
SPINAL CARE CLASS AND PANDEMIC CLASS
In this doctors-only, live, role-play seminar, the spinal care class four steps of invitation, the spinal care class building and socratic teaching approach, along with the pandemic class building and socratic teaching approach are thoroughly defined and discussed. Then each doctor will deliver all four steps of invitation, an entire spinal care class, as well as an entire pandemic class live to be critiqued.
